Her first game was at a very young age and she became the youngest golfer to make it into the US Women's Open at the age of 12 in 2007. The event did not go to event, but she was able to win the Aldila Junior Classic in the following year, making her the second. She was the youngest American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) player to earn the award, as well as taking home the Westfield Junior PGA Championship as the youngest person to do this at the time.
